Essential Responsibilities:

1.Record start and stop of jobs in Ultipro.

2.Stretch per guidelines prior to start up.

3.Liaison between submitter of Manufacturing Sample Request and Manufacturing Operations

a.Receive non-production Manufacturing Sample Request from control number 337 submitted from all areas of the company via the e-mail system.

b.Coordinate non-production sample scheduling with department managers and schedulers with awareness towards prioritization.

c.Ensure quality inspection/containment has occurred before samples leave each department.Ensure the samples are identified (good parts vs. parts with defects) for evaluation by requester.Dispose of defective parts identified during inspection/containment that are not wanted by requester for some other purpose such as, measurement, process improvement, or establishing boundary samples.

d.When the requested quantity of good sample parts has not been produced, for any reason, request additional parts from Mold, Paint or Assembly Departments until requested quantity of good parts has been produced.

e.Coordinate with Material Handler to ensure sample parts are delivered to next operation, or with Shipping Department to ensure sample parts are delivered to originator of sample request.

f.After each manufacturing process ensure that boxes of sample parts are labeled with sample labels.

g.Ensure only packaging specified on the Sample Request or identified in the ADAC bill-of-material (BOM) system is used for sample parts.

h.Re-pack and re-label sample parts coming into ADAC from any outside company for paint application by removing individual bags, and sorting by part number into separate boxes.

i.Ensure sample part storage areas stay clean and organized (5S philosophy).Maintain sample part inventory sheet (Microsoft Excel) for sample storage area(s).Establish target disposal dates for all samples in storage area(s) with owners of sample parts.

j.Create inventory journals in AX to adjust inventory for materials that are used in samples.This includes molded work-in-process (WIP), Painted WIP, purchased components, finished goods etc.

4.Assist Assembly Manager(s) with initial set-up of assembly cell.

5.General housekeeping to include organizing and cleaning Assembly Cells during new product launch.

6.Assist with Pre-Production Ordering Systems management.This includes entering commitment dates in customer portals (ex. Ford GPIRS, GM G3PS), entering order information on internal tracking sheets, acquiring parts, labeling parts per customer requirements, setting up shipments, and recording tracking information.

7.IMDS administration.Use the IMDS system to create, edit and submit IMDS to external customers.Use the ADAC CN system to monitor changes and track submissions.

Education & Experience:

1.High School Diploma or G.E.D.

2.Appropriate mathematic, reading, and writing skills.

3.Appropriate written and verbal communication skills.

4.Extensive knowledge of or ability to learn ADAC manufacturing systems.

5.Computer skills including Word, Excel, Email.

6.Knowledge of or ability to learn how to follow Control Plans.

7.Knowledge of or ability to learn ADAC’s bill of material (BOM) system.

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

1.Safety Glasses with side shields.

2.Covered shoes.

3.Fabric gloves as needed.

4.Lifting boxes up to 50 lbs.

5.Frequent bending or twisting.

6.Standing, walking or sitting for 8 hours, possibly 12 hours per day.

7.Ability to maintain manual and computer filing systems.

8.Ability to safely operate hi-lo or other type of lift truck.
